I love this keyboard.
I bought it over two years ago after much research.
To this day it has functioned perfectly. I use it almost every day and I game on it occasionally.
None of the coating has rubbed off, none of the keys have stuck or stopped working. The light works and is just as bright as ever.
I really couldn't be happier and if it does become problematic with age, I would buy another one in a heartbeat.
It's quiet, comfortable and sexy. :)

This keyboard is extremely comfortable to use (forget the wrist rest...left it in the box.) The keys are nicely spaced, quiet,easy to read at night,non-sticky (unless you spill your wine on the keyboard), fat space-bar, and lovely blue glow is pleasant at night.
My daughter came to visit and fell in love with the keyboard as well. Tried to order one toa be shipped to her after she left, but it has been 3 weeks and I am still waiting for shipment. Out of stock? Why does Amazon not notify of that? Anyway, it must be a fast seller or it would be in stock.
This is my second illuminated keyboard. I purchased one of the first Saitek put on the market and wore the paint of the keys after years of use. Finally got a new one and a "spare". You ask why I did not give her my "spare"? She is a private pilot and flew to visit me, so I did not want to add to her flight weight.
I don't use it for "gaming" per se, so can't attest to how it would hold up under that kind of abuse. For daily use, I say it's perfect!

I bought this thing some time ago, but have not gotten to review it until now.
This lapse in time is a good thing though, and allows me to understand the keyboard a bit better.
Honestly I have nothing bad to say about this thing, and in fact I am writing this review with it.
I purchased it to help me out when I'm using the PC into the wee-hours of the morning.
My desk light is often off, this is because I am a photographer and I can't have too much ambient light when editing images.
Until I got this thing I was typing by the light of the monitor, I must say that this is a great improvement.
It's brightness is adjustable, but I just find myself leaving it on the brightest setting all the time, any dimmer and it is too dark.
Not really sure why I see it marketed as a "gaming" keyboard though, it really isn't at all good for games.
It's mostly just a standard keyboard that lights up and looks awesome, like some fancy keyboard from the control deck of a spaceship.
I've been using it for a while now, and I must say that I am very pleased with comfortable and responsive it has been.
Not much else to say, aside from that it's well worth the price.
I may even be buying another this week for my other PC...

Keyboard arrived before estimated arrival date, and was shipped in good packaging. Was as advertised and works well. Keyboard is responsive and easy to type on, works well for typing and gaming. Backlighting is clear and keys are visable in any light. Users of MAC keyboards should take note however, because of the spacing, I often hit 7 instead of 8, but thats probably just me, and a. Cursory glance at what I'm typing makes it only the slightest thought.

Didn't take very long for the paint to start wearing off the keys. X, C, S, and > are almost illegible now.
