It does not have support for many PC Racing simulations. I bought this so that I could play Race 07 from Simbin, but was disappointed when it was not supported. Before purchasing the wheel, it states that Race 07 was supported, but it is not.



It is small and compact, which I love considering that I don't have a lot of room for a huge Wheel. It does work with the 18 Wheels of Steel games, DiRT, DiRT2, and Grid, but just not with Race 07.



Still overall a good cheap inexpensive purchase on a wheel.

Hookup was pretty straight-forward. Driver installation on Windows XP presented no problems. The only odd thing about this device is occasionally the device will lose connection to the computer while not being used during a game. Requires a re-boot of the computer to regain connectivity. Not sure if its the device losing the connection or the computer or some driver incompatibility.

the wheel is a little small but you can get the feel real easy. it takes very little moving of the wheel to turn into a car or the fence.if you take your eyes off the track for just sec. you are in trouble. I have race 07 its a blast, its a lot more fun with a wheel and brake @ gas foot peddles. you will not go wrong ,its a must for any racing game,good@ have loads fun.

...I thought wrong. Years ago, I had used a Logitech Momo that had only lasted about half a year before calibration went bad. After many years without PC race simulators or wheels, I got this one together with accurate and popular race simulator rFactor.



This one was alright...while it lasted. It handled well with the game for about 2-3 weeks despite a slight digital feeling, until the brake pedal calibration started to stick. Today, the gas pedal also started to fail. The so-called "geniuses" left out something that Logitech always puts in: a way to recalibrate it if it ever goes off. That means even a minor calibration problem could escalate and eventually write off the entire device, a problem that could probably be fixed if it was any other wheel.



As well, the "Vibration/Force Feedback" may very well be a false claim, because I felt nothing.



rFactor is a great sim, but it's now worthless space taken up on my computer thanks to the failure of this wheel, unless I can get a new wheel.



My advice, don't try it, unless you can only use it on a short-term basis.



Out of all the lower-budget wheels out there, it's a hard decision to make if you can't afford or save the money for a high-end Logitech.

this is a really disappointing device..works with almost no game and if it does is is very very imprecise.. that is on a game like NFS..i do a WAY better job using my keyboard..I gave this thing a really good shot coz i know i takes some time getting used to a wheel..and..since i bought it i wanted it to work..my friends have real ones (logitech @~$220) I can drive really well with..the twinwheel may work for less serious driving though on other platforms..never tried..

Waste of my money..

I just went and got pinacle game profiler to make this work easily. now i just gotta figure out pinacle. haha. overall a decent controller for the price and feels good just wish it was really 100% plug n play but maybe i need more simple games?

Warning this gamepad does not work with imac apple computer. The 3.5 inch disk will jam in the CD slot. The software is not compatible with the imac snowleopard OS system. The product specifications should be updated to reflect these major problems. Don't buy it if you have a MAC computer!

This a great controller. It feels right and has everything you'd want in a game controller but for one huge issue.

That important issue is that most games which support (and would potentially work best with) the use of a game controller and the rumble ability do not work properly (if at all) with this game controller when it comes to creating rumble effects. So the most important aspect of this game pad is wasted and rarely if ever used with popular games which would best be played with a game controller on a PC. One major reason is that these games (many being XBox360 ports) use Microsoft's Xinput system to create rumble effects instead of the open HID standardize system for input devices. This basically means you'd be better off buying an XBOX 360 controller instead given that you'll end up having more console ported games which support rumble features with the Xbox 360 game controller itself. Also there are very few official profiles for games with this pad which is another negative point.



I've found that while Logitech has a tendency to create well thought out and solidly built game controllers, joysticks, gaming keyboards, etc they do a horrible job at actually updating their gaming profiles for their products and software. Essentially you receive no official updates in regards to gaming profiles (My Ideazon Fang gamepad had better support for game profiles) with their products and the few available are for old and outdated games. So essentially you are stuck using their software to manually create profiles on your own and hoping that their hardware works with the game you want to play. For the most part the majority of (non-ported) PC games do work with most of their gaming hardware product line. Yet in regards to game controllers and playing XBOX 360 game ports you will find a huge gaping hole of games which do not work, work half-arsed or work incorrectly with this product. In retrospect this is not entirely Logitech's fault as they do adhere to industry standards but unfortunately Microsoft has a habit of making up their own proprietary standards which ends up locking out competitors such as Logitech.



So as stated before if you want to play a "Games for Windows" product (aka Xbox 360 port) and need a game controller that will work 100% of the time with such a product then stick with a PC version of the Xbox 360 controller. For any other game which supports the open industry standards of the HID system then this is a good product but there are very few if any new products which do and would work best with this gaming controller (aka console to PC ports) instead of a mouse and keyboard or which feature rumble effects.

Simply put, it's a good controller for a good price. I've only had the controller a couple weeks, but it seems to have a solid construction. It works well with Windows 7. Buttons are easy to press and the dpad is good. It's basically just like the old PS2 controllers. The only thing I don't like much is the analog sticks; the case around them is square instead of circular like the Playstation controller. This controller works really well with emulators. Very slight lag, but it's so small that it doesn't take much to get used to.

The controller seems to work for most games, and looks good doing it. The analog sticks work great, but the digital thumb pad seems to be less accurate that I would have liked it. The buttons work fine and are well placed. The grip is comfortable.

Some years back I got tired of keeping all my old game systems connected (nintendo, snes, genesis, etc), so I created a PC for emulation to play all my old games from a central location. I used to use the gravis gamepad pro (PS style controller), and it worked great. Recently I upgraded the machine to play my old Nintendo 64 games and needed an analog stick, so I made this purchase, and it works flawlessly



1 Drawback however: I would have like to have seen the D-pad be like a real cross (I had the same issue with the gravis gamepad pro), and not a "webbed cross" or "disc". When playing older games, your thumb can slip and instead of pressing right, you're really press more down because part of your thumb is on the "webbed" part between the right direction and the down direction. This drawback however, may be to your benefit depending on what you are doing/playing so take it with a grain of salt. Also keep in mind that if it really bothered me that much, I can always undust the old games and hook them back up.

I bought the Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 to play pro evolution soccer 2010. its a great gamepad with plenty of programmable buttons, however not fully customizable to this game in particular, especially the analog direction controls. one of the back buttons gets stuck if you press it from the bottom and not from the middle. and not all games give you vibration feedback, like pro evolution soccer. and the bulkiness takes some getting used to, especially if you want to use all the buttons.

I was amazed at the weight of this controller. The last controllers that I played with were bulky and heavy. This controller is lightweight and a bit smaller. I have never been displeased with a Logitech product so far and would recommend this to anyone who needs a wireless controller.

The good:

Plug and Play. Logitech software actually worked with XP

Long Battery Life

No problems when using a "logitech" wireless keyboard/mouse.

The Bad:

The buttons that I use for throttle and brake, which are the top ones on the front (6 & 5) are On/Off only. Either you have 100% throttle/brake, or NO throttle/brake. This is not a good thing. The wireless Xbox 360 controller has touch sensitive buttons, which help in smooth throttle and brake applications. For poor folk who don't have big bucks or dedicated space for a wheel and pedals, the Xbox gamepad is better than the logitech gamepad.

Of course the problems people have with the Xbox USB receiver may outweigh the bad of the logitech.
