I have had the headsets for a little over a week now and so far, they have been great. I use these nearly 5 hours a night and unplug/store them after each use. The sound quality is great for me, I am by no means an audiophile and for the price the audio quality is beyond what I expected. The mic has received good reviews from players on the other end of my Ventrillo conversations, far better than the previous set of Plantronics I had. I have primarily used them connected to a Mac with limited to use on my Xbox 360. I have yet to try them out on the PS3.
So far the construction quality seems solid. Again at the time of this writing I've only logged around 40 hours of use with these. If anything changes, I will update my review.

OK i can stand a bad headset once in awhile but this has to be the worst!!! the mic is cheap, headset speakers are muffled & low quality, & is the absolute worst thing i have ever had the displeasure of using. i had to take the damn thing back twice in 2 weeks for broken mic! it's uncomfortable in every way. it's made of a super thin cotton & the headset is shaped oddly in a way that makes you wanna cry in pain after wearing them for 2 hours! i do not recommend this to anybody anywhere! it is cheap, overpriced, & just plain awful! if you want a low priced headset that works fantastically, type in "creative labs gaming headset" in amazon & you'll find something that's a cheaper price tag, higher quality, & very comfortable. not to mention the sound quality is mind blowing!!! do not buy Triton brand headset this unless you're prepared to waste your hard earned cash on something as plain bad as this. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!

I bought these about a month ago to use with my Xbox 360. I wanted the more expensive Trittons, but didn't have the money. These headphones are not for anyone with a larger than normal head and/or ears. The ear cups are awkwardly shaped. While wearing this pair of Trittons, i got the "clamped down" feeling. the headset just felt tight. Another con would be the mic cable for the 360 controller. It came loose easily. If you touched it in the slightest way, you would get a loud crackling sound in your ears. The overall look is good and im sure if you are a younger/smaller gamer these would be great. The sound quality is pretty average but there is a lack of bass. If you are just looking to save some money, buy Turtle Beach X11. The sound quality is about the same in the cheaper models. I would suggest either Tritton Ax 720 or AX Pro if you are looking for a more comfortable and great sounding headset. My pair of AX180 were returned after a week.

I bought the headset in February of 2010. The sound was great for a while and then from no where in May the mic stopped working. The tiny mic was having trouble inserting as well. I could still hear people but they could no longer hear me. In June the sound returned on it's own and still works really well. I can actually have conversations now. However, in July the piece that connects to the adjustable comfort band top to the actual earpiece broke. The Left ear was dangling by a wire. Not wanting to be without the headset, I super glued it back together. This worked fine for a couple of weeks then the second ear broke. While I was looking at it I noticed that there were tiny cracks up the whole side of both stems. Every time I would fix one break a new one would pop up. I now will have to call customer service to have a new pair shipped but I feel like if they know this is a common issue why not redesign them instead of putting a cheaply made product on the shelf?!
Function-wise they were wonderful. I loved that I could adjust game and voice volume separately and that I had the option to mute my own mic whenever. I do not think that is worth the hassle of having to constantly fix them. I felt like I was jipped out of $70.
Update:
I called Tritton/MadCatz customer service because all of the headsets are under a one year warranty. DO NOT THROW IT AWAY IF IT BREAKS! They are shipping another one to me after I send them the one I have. I asked if I should be worried about the new one breaking and the customer service agent said that there had been an issue with the molding process and that they have since fixed this. I guess if you bought your headset at the beginning of the year it is possible that it may break. People who have the later versions are probably clueless as to what all of the breaking fuss is about.
