I also bought the gear shift holder and Logitech G27. The seat seams pretty stable and has adjustments to find a comfortable position for the steering wheel and pedals. It came with all the necessary hardware, good instructions and was easy to assemble. The seat is reasonably comfortable, although if lean back to much, you can feel the bar in the middle where it folds. My only complaint is that the steering wheel shaft gets in the way of the brake pedal, so you have to mount the pedals off centre.

When the box arrived last Saturday it looked a bit puny for what the product was but these clever folks know how to pack a product. I'm sure the FedEx guy wasn't too happy with me since the thing weighed a "ton". I also purchased the slider kit with this seat.
Firstly, let me say that this product is extremely well engineered and built. It is made from heavy steel and certain parts are welded together for added strength. The seat part came folded and wrapped in plastic. All other parts were neatly boxed or wrapped in paper to keep them scratch free. Unfortunately my Playseat did not come with instructions but I had already scoured the Internet in anticipation of this product so I had a vague idea on how it was going to go together. The trickiest part of the assembly process was the seat slider, which also did not come with instructions. Common sense basically took over and I eventually figured it all out. I'm 6' 4" so I thought the slider option was a good idea. I'm not sure if it really helps but it certainly comes in handy when my friends come over who are shorter. It works exactly like a manual care seat adjustment and seems extremely sturdy. Just like some other reviewer here mentioned, just be aware that the rails on the sliders themselves are pre-greased so you may want to wear your grubbies and put paper on the floor in case you rub up against it.
Is the seat comfy? Yes, very. I can sit in this seat for hours at a time without feeling any fatigue. I installed my Logitech Driving Force GT on the seat and am installing a Buttkicker Gamer 2 this weekend. So far I am extremely happy with my purchase. The only thing I wish the design was any different is that it included a method to hide all the wires and cables. It gets pretty unwieldy but they do provide you lots of cable ties to try and make things as neat as possible.

This product is amazing, if you like driving games then this is a must. Gamepads just don't cut it for driving games and steering wheels without a proper setting just won't give that "feeling".
Given the choice to drive on an office chair or a proper driving position, what would you opt for? Unless driving a bus or a truck which, more or less, looks like an office chair,,,
The rearview is for the Black Alcantara seat, a sort of suede looking fabric beautifully coupled with leather edges on the seat. It ships in a decent sized box (amazing how it fits snuggly in it), assembly was a bit on the complex side but not hard. I got the gear-shift holder, so make sure you attached its base before screwing the seat to the seat's base.
The unit comes with Velcro tapes to fix steering wheels that are not compatible with the fixing holes that are on the seat, the Logitech G27 has readymade bolt holes that use the included bolts to fix it in. The seat also folds nicely to store behind something (in my case the living room sofa).
I was afraid that the seat build would not be strong (especially the steering base) for the force feedback of the wheel but was happy to see that it is. If you plan on not having the seat as a fixed setup the costant storing and tightening of the size fixing bolts will scratch the paint job a bit (making circular marks) but not major for me.
Great price to have a racing setup in your house.
If you like driving games this is for you.
