I really disliked the location of the thumb buttons. I found it very hard to use the forward thumb button as my push to talk on vent while playing games. It took too much pressure and was not in a user friendly place. I sold it after a few hours to a friend of mine for $[...] bucks less than I bought it for so I could buy a copperhead off ebay (much better but older version of lachesis and out of production)

love the mouse. it's great. needed a new mouse because my wireless logitec died on me so looking around i bought this as it glows red like my Saitek keyboard. it works great. really smooth motions and never skips a beat. you can store different profiles on it as some may not like how high up the sensitivity is. i have noticed that since i went from Vista to windows 7 it seems to not turn on when powering on my computer. i then have to restart and power back on my computer and it usually picks up. i may have to just check the drivers so it may not be an issue. anyways i like it a lot. works how it's supposed to. great for gaming and everyday use.

I just got my mouse and immediately jumped into Quake Live. I didn't have to get used to this mouse. It just felt natural to me.
I'm kind of a mouse freak. I would buy a mouse, and sell it almost instantly if I didn't like it. The last 2 good mice I used were the Razer Copperhead Tempest(button died) and Logitech G5 between 2008 - 2010. I recently sold my laptop a long with the mice.
I bought a new Laptop and recently purchased a Microsoft Sidewinder X8. The mouse itself performed well, but I could not get used to the weight of the mouse. It was also very slippery when my hands would perspire. I would have to hold the mouse extra tight, because of the weight when having to lift it. My fingers would start to ache badly after 1 hr of fragging. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I opted to buy another mouse.
I was very very skeptical about buying a Lachesis, because I read tons of horror stories online about the mouse jumping all over the screen or just simply dying on them. I'm here to tell ya, i'm very satisfied with this purchase. It will be in my arsenal for a while or until something else comes a long that fits me better or this dies. I also love the ambidextrous style of the mouse. Something like the Boomslang I had back in the day.

I've had this mouse for over a year now, I use it everyday! Very responsive! Good for Photoshop, gaming, and general surfing.
Pros:
The color (My setup is red/black and I do not want to mixed up the colors. I too use the Saitek Eclipse Red keyboard)
The texture (Feels grippy)
The side buttons (used for forward and back in Google Chrome, Change weapons in Call of Duty)
The ability to change the DPI right on the fly, Sometimes I need a faster DPI than I need a more controlled DPI)
The cord (USB cord is light and won't slow you down when you have a bunch of stuff on your desk)
The perfect weight (For me, some people might want a heavier mouse or a lighter mouse)
Cons:
Sometimes it jumps (I'll be walking than all of a sudden I'll be looking at the sky. Firmware update should fix it)
Overall:
This is a great mouse. I went from the Razer Diamondback Salamander Red 1600 DPI to this. Always loved Razer mice and always will! Looking for the Orchi for my ASUS G71 Laptop. I really wish that they made a american Red lighted Razer keyboard but paired with the Razer Lachesis (Wraith Red) and the Saitek Eclipse (Red) it's a GREAT combination. Highly recommend this mouse. For this price! Yea..

Razer Lachesis is a solid mouse doing quite well everything it advertises, Nice cored, gold plated USB 2.0?, Soft plastic finish and feel. Only problems I had with it was that It took some getting use to since my old mouse was rather small and the Lachesis is pretty big, also the software(macros?) that came with the mouse is alittle clumsy and doesn't work on all games actually It hasn't worked on any games thus far. But aside from those two problems which i easily worked around with in a week or so the mouse is grate even for left handers like me.
