 "Awesome Mouse" 2010-08-25

This mouse is pretty awesome. I was a little confused thinking there would be more buttons to configure, but there are really only two. Otherwise, it's a very comfortable, very accurate gaming mouse.

"Truly the boss of the gaming mice neighborhood..." 2010-08-22
By Chris
Well what can I say, this mouse is a beast. First off, don't spend your money hoping to get a wireless gaming mouse that can compete with the wired ones. Unless you buy this mouse, then be prepared to be satisfied. Now I realize $130 is a lot for a computer mouse, but seriously, don't be cheap if your looking for an advantage. I've had this mouse for about a month now and I think it deserves a well written review.

So the pros of this mouse are endless, and the cons are nothing but a bread crumb in a castle's kitchen. To start, it is a wireless mouse capable of 5600 DPI, yes, 5600. What is DPI? You ask. Dots per inch, thats basically how much of the surface it picks up and transfers to the screen at one time. and 5600 is flat-out jaw-dropping. Second, you can change the DPI with a click of a button on the mouse, so no menus. Example; i'm playing MW2, I start out with a P90 and run around with about 4000 DPI owning with my fast reaction speeds. Then I decide to switch to a sniper, my scope is moving way too fast to handle, so I click down to 800 DPI, head-shot after head-shot with this steady aim. Third, this one needs no further explaining. Wireless, no wires what so ever. When you take a break, pop it on the podium and it charges instantly. Seriously convenient. Fourth, It actually indicates how much battery and what DPI setting your on, on the mouse. So you don't run around wondering if you can snipe yet or not. Fifth, This mouse isn't just for Shooter games, with 7 programmable buttons Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft spells and commands have never been so easily accessible.

Now for the con, and trust me there is only one, and it's easy to fix. When I first hooked it up it was confusing and I couldn't get it to work in wireless mode at all. Of course I don't read any directions so when i checked the quick start guide, problem solved in less than a minute.

So overall for a price tag of $130, is it really worth your well earned cash? Yes and no. Yes for you seriously competitive gamers who want an edge in every field of the universe of gaming. Also yes for anyone who games on the go, whether your in the car or at Starbucks all you need to bring is the dock and your set to get your game on. And no for those of you who just don't realize how much of a advancement in modern technology this mouse is, or if you just settle for an average grade gaming experience. For anyone interested in buying this mouse, do it. You won't regret it. Thank you Razer for yet another way to frag up every enemy in my path.

 "Expensive, but worth it" 2010-08-09
By SuperSchtroumpf (Lyon, France)
If you are big into gaming, then why not get one of the best mice out there? It's only the price of one or two games... and you will get your use out of it. It's certainly much more responsive and accurate than my previous wireless logitech mouse. Just a few small notes (cons):

- so-so battery life

- it's a little hard to get the cable in and out of the two ports (mouse port / docking port)

- sometimes it loses the connection when im switching from wired to wireless mode.

Otherwise, this mouse is great. Beautiful colors, great rubberized feel, nice blue lighting on the docking station and the mouse itself, not too many buttons, and one can go from wired to wireless just by plugging/unplugging the cable from the docking station/mouse. No more fiddling with rechargeable AA batteries, and if the battery goes out just plug the mouse in directly.

Well worth the price.

"Not as smooth as the G7" 2010-08-01

Razer Mamba is not bad. It doesn't feel as good as the logitech G7, but since they don't make that anymore, this is a reasonable choice, as I require a wireless gaming quality mouse.

"The Mouse Of Your Dreams" 2010-07-26
By Greg Lauver (Pennsylvania, USA)
So I went from a Logitech Trackman Marble Mouse to this beast and I am very happy with what I recieved, as I should be for the rather crazy price.

When you get it of course you're very excited, but to boost the excitement even more the case looks like you just bought a rare ruby worth[...]. You'll see the mouse mounted in this plastic "presentation" box. All the manuals are tucked away conveniently inside. So, as far as packaging goes, amazing. Touches like that are what make you feel like you got your money's worth.

So you start to unpackage it and it's.....easy. You get a stellar USB cord (gold-plated USB, as advertised, as well as a special cord designed to withstand some kind of torrential storm possibly), a charging dock, and obviously the mouse. Let's cover the mouse first:

The design is beautiful. It's got a kick butt design, it's comfortable, and it's got enough buttons. Not too many, if you count your sensitivity adjustment buttons you get 4 programmable buttons...I have yet to program any of them because I simply haven't had the need. I do, however, switch sensitivites on the fly rather often, as it's helpful in games when you go from a sniper (low DPI for super accuracy) to an assault dude (high DPI for quick, accurate movements). All the buttons have a very nice click about them and DON'T feel as if they are going to fail in the next many years. The glowing scroll wheel in the middle is beautiful! I love it, adds another touch. The battery lasts a loooong time on a full charge (days). I tend to place it on charge whenever I'm not using it, so I have yet for it to run out of juice. So the mouse is brilliant...

On to the dock. It's cool, it's small, and it's flashy. Not really a whole lot to say about it. The USB cable provided can either plug into the base or the mouse. Here's a downside, however, IF for some random reason you plug the cord into the mouse it adds A LOT of resistence to the mouse, being designed as it is. With this type of mouse, resistence isn't a good thing. The dock also acts as the wireless receiver, so if you're wondering how the mouse communicates wirelessly with your PC, it's the dock.

My only complaint would have to be the software it comes with. Don't get me wrong, it's good, powerful software, but it.....is......sllllooooowwww!! Better make sure you make all your changes before clicking "ok" or "apply", because after that sit back and relax.... I believe this is because the dock is sending a file to the mouse (the mouse does have onboard memory, after all) that includes all of the changes and apparently that takes a while.

Overall, definitely a 5 star product. It's elegant and works like no other mouse.
