 "Awesome gaming headset" 2010-08-25
By Quava
The G35 is a awesome headset that has terrific sound quality. The surround sound is great for first person shooter games and the setup is very easy. The headset may feel tight for some so if you have a big head like me, it may feel like it's being squeezed.

 "G35 Headset" 2010-08-22
By Michael Muller (San Diego)
First month seemed OK. Had issues with level of sound, typically too low. After that about once in 5 or 6 starts sound would not work. Re-installed drivers seemed to help. Looking for drivers in Logitech site difficult at best. Click a link which said download drivers here and it took me to a page that wanted to sell me more stuff, were's the drivers??? After getting through the SALES I got the newest drivers, Win 7 64 bit. I run a Intel 930 suped up with 260 vid with 6 gig triple channel ram. New drivers seemed to help for about a week. I never had so much trouble with a new device. Now, it may or may not start and if it does, it last for perhaps 3 seconds. It seems like I got a lemon. I read other forums and few others are having issues like mine. Could not find receipt, OH well. Expensive lesson. Never had trouble with non USB headsets, will head back. Perhaps Sound Blaster again, I still have a good sound card.

"Don't know if WOW is the word. I think it's more than wow!" 2010-08-20
By Ron A.
Well, i bought this headphones for gaming. And let me tell you, wow. The sounds from this headphones is just amazing. I play call of duty MW2 and Counter Strike Source and World of Warcraft. And this headphones just boost the experience and makes you better at those games. In MW2 i can hear every single detail in the game and footsteps giving me an advantage. As well in counter strike source, after getting the headphones i was accused of hacking for knowing when other players would pop out. Some people thought that i hacked *lolz and some other players that play with good headphones know what i'm talking about. Now, for world of warcraft, the sound is beautiful. You hear every single detail and the music and ambient sound is just amazing. It gets you into the game and i started playing in 3D with Nvidia 3D glasses and i was more amaze on the sound then the 3D effects. Now, for movies. This headphones are amazing. I have a logitech surround sound that cost me over $500 dollars and when i got the headphones, i wanted to watch movies with the headphones instead. The detail is great. It's a plus too that the cord is extra long. If you're looking for headphones that will blow you away, buy this ones. Don't think twice, just do it. You won't regret it.

 "Does work with Windows 7 x64" 2010-08-17
By Zak Mckracken (Utah)
Great headset. I downloaded and installed the most recent Windows 7 x64 drivers from Logitech's website before I plugged in the headset. I have had the headset for about one week. I have really enjoyed the headset. I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile or perfectionist when it comes to audio because I have some hearing loss. But I really love the (virtual) surround sound that the G35 provides. It makes playing games great. I have also enjoyed using the headphones for listening to music and watching shows.

So, I only have a couple of marks against the headset. First, I wish that the shortcut "G" keys would allow you to do more with them. By default for me they were all set to open iTunes. That may be because iTunes was the only music player software I have installed out of its list, which is a very limited list. My default audio player on my computer is Zune Player, which is not in the list.

Second, the headset requires the G35 software to run at all times. Though it's not a big deal and is understandable that it needs software running to virtualize the surround sound, this means I have 3 Logitech software items running at all times (G15 keyboard has LCD Manager and G-Key Profiler). If I had SetPoint running for my Logitech mouse that would be 4 things. Logitech makes great keyboards, mice, and now I know a great headset, but they really could use some work in the software department.

tl;dr This is a great headset, and most everyone will enjoy it. It does work with Windows 7 and 64-bit. My only real gripes deal with Logitech's software and its limitations.

"I am absolutely happy with my purchase!" 2010-08-15
By Corey Faure
I ordered one of the refurbished headsets for about 70 bucks, and the headset works perfect! I can hardly hear anything outside of the headsets. The microphone and sound have great quality. The built in voice changing features of the drivers are funny, but they do not include general "Man to Woman" or "Woman to Man" voice changing presets, but that's alright. I'll have plenty of fun sounding like a squirrel or a monster at the touch of the built in buttons. What's also nice is a built in surround sound switch, which is really handy if you just want to listen to music as it usually sounds with stereo sound(switch it off). Also, you don't need a sound card with this headset, as it's only wire is USB. That was a real nice touch, as my card only supports 5.1 channel sound, but I still get full surround with the headset. It's light enough so that you hardly know it's there. Very comfortable, it has a pad on the top, and the ear pads fit really nice. Though, I'm only 14, I'm not quite sure how it would fit on fully grown ears.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a headset!
