"Not on my new Mac!" 2008-01-02
By Bitty Bytes (Sierra Foothills)
This DID NOT WORK on my shiny new Mac. I got 2. I guess that makes me twice as stupid. Macally told me they'd keep me posted if they ever produce what I thought I already had paid for. I guess thats their version of customer service. I'll keep them posted how I feel about that by giving their products 1 star ratings. It's good we can stay in touch with each other, isn't it?

"It does work on Intel Macs" 2007-12-09
By SirGromit
To all those who say it does not work on Intel Macs. Please note that Macally has simply stopped development of their proprietary driver. However, the controller does work with OS X's built in support for HID input devices. Applications that support HID through OS X will work with the iShock II. One feature of the controller that will not work because it requires the Macally driver is the rumble feature. The Macally driver also provided the ability to map the controller buttons to other applications that do not support OS X's HID interface. This feature can be replicated using third party utilities such as USB Overdrive

"No driver for Leopard (OS X 10.5.x)" 2007-11-26
By Eric Ross (Camas, WA USA)
The driver crashes in Leopard. I had to use USB Overdrive($20 shareware) to even use the device. Mechanically it is well made and has a nice feel in the hands. Too bad the software support is nonexistant.

"Nice controller but compatibility issues" 2007-04-10
By Sean McDermott (Long Beach, CA)
I bought two of these, actually, for two different Macs in an attempt to run Zuma with them. They're really nice controllers, they feel great and there are quite a few buttons for different functions. Yet finding configurable drivers for them was a pain. We tried GamePad Companion but it made the device jerky and uncontrollable, especially when shooting.

It's too bad someone can't make one that is easy to configure for the Mac users who actually enjoy gaming.

"Doesn't play nice with Intel Macs" 2007-03-27
By Alphonso Starling Jr. (Manhattan, KS)
I have a MBP and have been using it to play Ford Racing 2. Some of the buttons work and you can basically play the game but you cannot move around in the menus with the controller. The gamepad cannot be programmed very much except assigning some of the buttons for the controls of the game but is very limited. This could be a game issue or the lack of appropriate drivers for the gamepad. The vibration does NOT work. I would look at a different gamepad for Intel Macs. I think I'm going to return mine back to Micro Center...
